How to Be a Cord-cutting MVP This College Bowl Season

Who's ready for some football? If money is tight or you just can't make it to the game, a stellar setup at home is the next best thing. If you've cut the cord, now is the time to review your game plan so you won't miss any of your favorite college teams battle it out on the gridiron.

Between December 16, 2022 and January 9, 2023, there are 42 bowl games plus the national championship. Most of these games will be broadcast on ESPN with a few on ESPN2, ABC, CBS and FOX. So, if you want to catch all the action and you don’t have cable or satellite service, you’ll need to consider paying for a streaming service for a month or two.

If you’re a diehard college football fan who wants to see it all, YouTubeTV, Fubo TV and Hulu+Live TV are all solid contenders that broadcast every bowl game. YouTube TV and Fubo TV even offer a free trial period — score! Be sure to visit their respective websites and type in your zip code to make sure they stream your local ABC, CBS and FOX channels. If they don’t, your best option to capture local channels is to simply install a TV antenna for over-the-air reception. If your budget is super tight and you only want to watch a few games, Sling TV is a good choice. Their orange plan provides access to ESPN, ESPN2 and much more. Check your equipment

Regardless of how you’re watching the games at home, you’ll want to make sure your entertainment equipment, connections and cables provide peak performance.
